Hangul MetroTerms of Use

1. What the app is
Hangul Metro is a short-session app for learning to read the Korean alphabet (Hangul), a few everyday Korean expressions and simple Seoul signs, menus and station boards. It is for personal learning. Hangul Metro is an independent app and is not affiliated with Seoul Metro, any transport operator, any shop or any artist.
Seoul missions are reading practice. Station, exit and train boards in the app are simplified examples, not live travel or route information. Check official signs and transport apps when you travel.
Speaking scores compare the words your phone recognised with the target word. They are a practice aid, not a measure of pronunciation or an official language level. Name cards show a common Korean spelling of a name; names can be written in more than one way.
2. Free access and Metro Pass
All 24 Hangul letters (8 lessons), today's expression clip and card, the first 4 Seoul missions and name cards are free. The free version includes one speaking score for the daily expression each day.
Metro Pass unlocks all 12 Seoul missions, unlimited expression speaking scores, saved expressions and past expressions. It is offered as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription or a lifetime one-time purchase. There is no free trial. The store purchase screen shows the price in your currency, the billing period and the conditions before you confirm.
The app has no account or login. A random Firebase anonymous ID supports purchase verification. Learning data is stored on your device.
3. Payments and renewal
Purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play under their payment terms and charged to the store account used for the purchase.
Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel in your Apple or Google subscription settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. After cancelling, access normally continues until the end of the paid period. Manage or cancel through Apple subscription settings or Google Play subscriptions. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Buying the lifetime option does not cancel an existing subscription; cancel it in your store settings.
A lifetime purchase is a one-time payment with no renewal. It unlocks Metro Pass for this app and does not promise that the app or its services will operate forever.
4. Restore and refunds
Use Restore purchases in the app's Settings with the same Apple or Google account used to buy Metro Pass. Purchases do not transfer between Apple and Google. Refunds and billing disputes follow the store's policies and applicable consumer law: Apple purchase support, Google Play purchase support.
5. Permitted use
You may use the app and its materials for your personal learning. Do not copy, resell or redistribute the content, artwork or audio, bypass purchase checks or interfere with the app's services. The characters Hana and Joon, the artwork, audio and other app materials remain the property of Loyd Lab.
We aim for accurate Korean, but letters, romanisation, translations or audio may contain mistakes. Please report them to support and we will fix them.
6. Availability and responsibility
Learning works offline. Purchases, restoring purchases and analytics need a network connection and third-party services, which can be interrupted. Removing the app can remove local learning data because there is no cloud sync.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss caused by relying on practice content as travel, transport or official language information. Nothing in these terms limits statutory consumer rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Privacy, changes and contact
The Privacy Policy explains on-device storage, speech recognition, anonymous IDs, purchases, analytics and deletion. We may update the app and these terms; the effective date shows the current version.
